    It's Okay To Not Be Okay

    I have been trying hard to think of a good tip this week! And the same thing

    keeps coming to my mind. I like to think of myself as an open book. I always want to be as honest and transparent as possible with you. And the truth is that I have been struggling! I always try to put on a brave face and be as happy and positive as I can. But sometimes we have to admit that it's ok to not be ok!

    We can become so overwhelmed at times that we start to feel like we are losing a part of ourselves. We can become unmotivated and lose our inspiration for creativity. So what do we do when this happens? THIS IS NOT HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE! We are meant to have joy and love what we do! So with this in mind I have decided to do a full overhaul of how I am spending my time So I wanted to share a few of the things that I am going to be working on and hopefully it can help someone else too and we go through this together! .

    Find Balance! Take a step back and decide what is a priority and what things are not. We need to focus on those important things. Write a list of all your priorities and see what things you can cut back on and what you need to focus on more!

    Be Mindful! Be mindful of yourself and your feelings. Pay attention to those days that you are feeling overrun and overwhelmed. The more aware and mindful we are the better!

    Relax More! What is relaxing?! 🤣 Finding time to relax and unwind can be the hardest thing to do! But we need to make it more of a priority! Schedule time for yourself EVERYDAY to relax!

    Be Optimistic! It's really easy for us to fall into negativity and focus on all of the things that are going wrong. Let's try and look more on the bright side of things and the positive things going on and the things that are within our control!

    Less Screen Time! As a society we have become attached to our devices. It is so important that we take the time to unplug! This will allow us time to slow down and reconnect with the things that are around us and matter! This is a big one for me!

    Pay It Forward! One of the greatest things that we can do is to help someone! It doesn't have to be anything extravagant! Even just saying some kind words or smiling at someone makes a huge difference. Not only for them, but for you!

    Prioritize Your Health! You are a priority!! And so is your health! Make sure you are eating breakfast, drinking enough water, working out (so not my favorite thing to do) and taking care of yourself! So many good things come from living healthy!

    Get Organized! When our life is chaotic and disorganized we mentally feel chaotic and disorganized! I am not saying that we need to be perfectly organized. But if we can organize our time, needs and wants it makes a huge difference!

    Prioritize Sleep! This is an area that I struggle in! I don't make sleep a priority and stay up way too late! Sleep makes such a huge difference in how our day is going to be! If we are rested, we will be happier and healthier! Let's get more sleep!

    Dream Big! Don't get stuck where you are! You are capable of amazing things!! Never be content with where you are and always strive to do more! Doing this will allow us to learn and grow in ways we didn't think were possible.

    Meditate! Ok hear me out on this one! I was in anxiety desperation mode and started to meditate and I cannot even begin to explain how much of a difference it has made! Taking a quiet moment to disconnect from the world works wonders!!!

    Laugh! We have all heard that "Laughter is the best medicine!" and it really is! We need to laugh more! We need to laugh more at ourselves when things don't go the right way. We need to stop taking life so seriously and just have fun!

    Feel Good! I am in no way an expert on all of these things. Just remember that we are all in this together and that we are all a work work in progress! But in the end we are ALL perfect in our amazing and beautiful imperfections! It all comes down to doing things that help us feel good and be happy. We are all going to have bad days. We are all going to have times where we don't feel ok and that is ok! Just take one day at a time and remember to be patient with yourself and love yourself just the way you are!

    You literally summarized my life right now! I have had to look hard at things lately and I feel exactly the same! We are taught our whole lives to be mindful of others, but we forget ourselves! I actually no longer go on social media except a happy B-day here and there or a little tik tok a watching u, cut out the toxic people and have over 500 unread messages on my phone. If they are not from close people, I don't t even read right now, I will one day. Since all my health stuff everything feels like it has oiled around me and no one else notices. All they notice is I'm not doing enough for them…
